Dōmo arigatō, Mr. Roboto

Say hello to Android’s new default font, Roboto. The typeface will come packaged with Android’s upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich OS (4.0). Truth be told, I will likely sellout and get an iPhone once my current contract is up. Still, it’s cool that the Android team can design a unique typeface specifically for their UI. They could’ve gone the easy route, and used something like Helvetica (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

DKNG Studios was founded in 2005 by Dan Kuhlken and Nathan Goldman. Their work includes a wide range of posters, packaging, apparel, web design, and photography. Dan and Nathan also serve as the in-house designers for the world famous Troubadour in Hollywood, California.
